More than just a simple urban fashion retailer, PHANTACi is distinguishably unique as the only store with Nike’s “Tier 0″ account on this island nation.

A partnership between famed musician/actor Jay Chou and his long time friend Ric Chiang. PHANTACi is the materialization of the 2 owners’ life-long interest with urban culture, from its cloistered stance from mainstream culture to its limitless potentials for individual expression. These 2 ideals played important roles in the store’s unique name, an amalgamation of the words “phantom” and “fantasy”.

Since its founding in 2006, PHANTACi has not only become the event space of many Nike product premiere events. It is now hub where Taiwan-based and international artists showcased their collaborations, such as the “I Can’t Brake” exhibition to promote fixed gear culture. To understand PHANTACi’s plans for both near and long term, plus its insights on the Taiwan marketplace, Freshness sat with both founders for a brief chat.

Reshaping the boundaries of traditional magazine communication, the MONOCLE Shop in Marylebone was inspired by the success of MONOCLE’s bespoke design, product and lifestyle retail partnerships, with brands including Comme des Garçons, Porter, Artek and Drakes London.

“We’ve had an overwhelming response from our readers for the MONOCLE products available at our online MONOCLE shop and through retailers such as Liberty UK, Beams Japan, Tretorn NYC and our shop-in-shop at Dover Street Market, London,” says MONOCLE Editor in Chief,Tyler Brûlé. “Opening our own shop was a very natural step for us to create a perfect home to sell our magazine and also specially selected products we feel our readers are looking for.”

Designed by the MONOCLE team, the MONOCLE Shop, located at 2a George Street, off Marylebone High Street, London WI is just 100 sq ft and will showcase the distinctive MONOCLE design aesthetic. Selling the full MONOCLE range and magazines, the store will also stock a regularly updated selection of curated products sourced internationally, including exclusive John Smedley knitwear and candles by CireTrudon.

The stylish lounge is located in the heart of the city’s upcoming hotspot, the 'district 5'. A thankful location indeed: The shop is surrounded by the hippest clubs, cultural hangouts and finest gastronomic in town. A place where trends are created and definitely seen. The unique assortment consists of: Surface to Air, Cheap Monday, Lee, Nike (Quickstrike Level), Swear, April 77, Modern Amusement, Supreme Being, Zoo York, Obey...A playful and carefully selected combination for everyone who has an eye for the exclusive and wants to be more than just a regular fashion victim. The Gloss is the fashion source in the middle of the burning heart of urban Zurich.

Juice has been the exclusive retailer for local fashion label, CLOT and other worldwide labels. CLOT has collaborated many exclusive items with the labels and has hosted many big events such as the Devilock Visual Exhibition, Bandai Tamagotchi launch party, Kobe Bryant's Zoom Kobe 1 launch, and others.

Juice retail store's renovation has taken more than a months time, and on April 19, 2008, the store has reopen to the public again. The launch of this event includes the appearance of CLOT co-founder Kevin Poon and other famous celebrities. The exclusive gift for this event is tees specially printed and produce in USA, and cannot be purchased anywhere else making its collection value much more worthy.

New look and feel
2008 has seen Juice as a constant trendsetter in Hong Kong. CLOT decided to renovate Juice after 4 years. The theme of wood was set by CLOT, to bring unlimited freshness to the whole scheme of things. CLOT hopes to bring in fresh ideas to the public and scene.

The Mindset for the Future
The overall theme has been advanced to simple, elegant, great use of space and a strong futuristic approached feel. The final theme has left both CLOT directors Edison and Kevin very satisfied. The interior of Juice was designed by prominent local designer Jeffrey Lui of LUI Design + Associates. Their client lists includes famous names such as Toni @ Guy, Nature Purest, and Agura Creative Dining.

Natural Lighting and Auto Controlled Room Temperature
Jeffrey Lui is well known for his environmental friendly designs, and has incorporated Edison and Kevin's idea into Juice. The Juice store has also placed a set of LED lights. During different times, the light will display different graphics and patterns, making the environment very advanced. LED is known for saving energies, and CLOT has again factored this in for the store. The store uses a lot more natural light than the previous store. Also, the store's air conditioning is auto controlled based on outside weather temperature, thus it will save energy on cooler days.

In September 2007 F.e.t.i.s.h. re-opened the steetwear boutique Grand with a selection of the world’s most famous streetwear brands, just next to The Gloss in Zurich.
